Thanks, everyone.  What started out kinda shitty, turned out to be the trip of a lifetime.  There are lots of things I left out, it would take too long to tell every detail (as you can imagine).  The wife says settle down for a while.  Going to Lovington, New Mexico but that's not far.

Given the amount of time it would take to tell every detail if appears the best solution is to just take all of us with you the next time you go...

Sounds like an outstanding trip, sg!

I believe that it will be difficult for any of us slackers to come up with an REK MB road trip to top that one (previously, I believe that fg'a & starkey coming from Oregon along with Cap'n Pablo & the Admiral making their way down from Canada for the 10/03 Floore's MB get together was probably at the top of the list).  That said, stalker's cumulative distance traveled in search of REK probably trumps anything.

I have to agree that was an excellent report-story-post.  Cool that Bill & Rich were so surprised to see familiar faces.  Were REK and the boys holed up in the Best Western, or a nearby B&B I wonder...?

I, too, have had French people (in France) be kind and helpful to me.  In America, they're not so nice, especially them french winemakin' types.
